Jaipur: Deadline nears on old 'compensation land'

The properties allotted in compensation and lying underdeveloped for a decade will be liable for penalty as deadline issued for such cases ends on June 30. Such properties shall be liable for a penalty of 1 per cent of the reserved price for each year. "The provision was added in accordance to the land acquisition rule reforms. As the compensated land is provided in developed area, it also needs to be developed in a stipulated time," says a senior urban development officer.
